Working Arrangements
The Forum operates as follows:
Chairing of meetings:
The chair will be appointed annually.
Quorum at meetings:
The quorum will be at least five members.
Meetings:
These will generally be at four-weekly intervals. Typically on the first Monday of each month.
Inspection of Planning Applications:
Plans to be discussed at each meeting to be chosen by the chair and one other member.
Conflicts of Interest:
Any professional members whose own plans/applications are being discussed at a meeting, or a member who has a direct interest in a particular application, is required to withdraw while the discussion takes place.
Documentation:
The outcome of discussions are recorded and included in comments on planning policy matters or specific planning/ listed building applications submitted to the Town, District or County Council. Additional representations may be made to Officers of the Council, District or County Councillors or others relevant to the matter under discussion. Significant applications and strategy and policy documents will be the subject of formal letters to the relevant parties.

The Ramsgate Heritage & Design Forum is affiliated to the Ramsgate Society and collaborates with other like minded community groups.
